MCT – Fall Theme – Grateful Card

Grateful card using My Creative Time stamps and dies.

Hello my crafty friends!!!  Today we are welcoming November with a Fall theme project over at My Creative Time! 😀
I made an acorn shaped card using a template I found on Pinterest here.  I traced the shape on CS and cut it out.  Since the template includes a top layer I decided to cut it out of pattern paper.  I stamped a woodgrain background on top of the acorn using “Grainy Wood Background” and inked the edges for shading.  I die-cut ‘grateful’ from glitter CS and the leaves from solid CS from “A Thankful Heart”.  For a fall-ish look I inked the leaves with TH Distress inks using a blending tool.

To finish the card I wrapped jute around the acorn, added gold sequins and made a cluster embellishment using the leaves and added Wink of Stella.  It was very easy to make and it looks cute! 😉Grateful card using My Creative Time stamps and dies.

Here is how it looks open.

MCT – Manly Monday – Celebrate

Masculine Birthday Card

Happy Monday my crafty friends and welcome to “Manly Monday” over at My Creative Time! 😀
Today we’re sharing projects that are perfect for boys of all ages. 😉   I made a super easy birthday card using different MCT stamps and dies.  I partially stamped the background using “Grainy Wood Background Stamp”.  I die-cut ‘celebrate’  from “Let’s Party Word Dies” in glitter CS, a party hat from “Party Hat Dies” on pattern paper,  a deer from “All Is Calm” which I cut twice, once in glitter CS and once in foam sheet and a rectangle from “Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More” which I popped using dimensional foam tape.

To finish the card I decorated the party hat with an enamel dot on the pom pom and a piece of glitter pipe cleaner on the bottom and added sequins.  It has a fall-ish look and I really love the way it turned out!  😉

Today I made a mixed media Christmas card.  I watercolored the background and die-cut two journaling cards from “Stitched 3×4 Journal Die” one in vellum and one from the watercolored background.  Once dry, I heat embossed a phrase from the new “INSIDE CHRISTMAS CARDS” stamp set on the background and outlined it with a paint brush.  I die-cut a rectangle from “Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and More” in corrugated CS and splattered white paint on it.  I die-cut the snowflakes from “Winter Flakes Dies” in glitter CS.  On the card base, I partially heat embossed the background from “Grainy Wood Background”.

To finish the card I added foam adhesive to the watercolored journal card to make it pop and added sequins and rhinestones to each snowflake.  Mixed media is not my thing but I must say I enjoy making something different once in a while and I’m very happy how it turned out! 🙂

MCT – OCTOBER Sneak Peek Day #2 – Santa Suit Shaker Card

mct-santa-suit-clothes-line-shaker-card-10-2016

Hello crafty friends and welcome to MY Creative Time! sneak peek day #2. Today we’re showcasing the fun  “SANTA SUIT DIES”.  Today I made a shaker card.  I loved playing with watercolor in yesterday’s card so much that I decided to watercolor a red background and die-cut all the pieces from the new “SANTA SUIT DIES” to create a Santa’s clothes line! How fun is that?! 😀

To make the shaker card I used the WRMK Fuse Tool. Before sealing the shaker card I added a piece of kraft CS, inked the edges and splattered some white ink to create snow and added sequins and chunky glitter.  I die-cut the card shape using “Stitched Postage Frame Dies” on kraft CS and pattern paper.  To finish the card I glued a piece of jute rope and added red rhinestones to each end.  I hope you like it!!! 🙂
